Yesterday I graduated from college, today I had a job interview and am packing, and tomorrow I am going to Israel for ten days. College was pretty great and all, but it is good to have a nice diploma that says I have a bachelor's degree and I know my parents were pretty thrilled with how many times my name showed up in the program (7). This is not a very good summing up of the experience, but I am about the middle being more important than the beginning or the end. Plus in August I'm moving to Urbana to start at the U of I, so it's not like I'm going to have a lot of soul-searching to do.
Moving out yesterday was a series of nervous breakdowns. The girls in my house, while all lovely people, are also (and they know this) not completely neat and organized. The kitchen was packed with stuff still, all of which KDRA (note: this is a joke) said he would throw away. So my family and I stripped the house of everything we wanted. There were a few somewhat valuable things that belonged to Eta Sigma Phi that I took and will return if I'm ever on campus again, but in general I have now outfitted my kitchen for next year with various supplies. It was kind of exciting, and I'm sure KDRA will appreciate the cleaning we did in the process.
If you would like to keep track of what's going on with me in Israel, you can visit
this website, which will have pictures, notes, and a way to email me while on the trip. You can also read the itinerary and follow along with where I am each day. If you do this, I will laugh at you, but feel free to do it anyway. I'll try to send postcards, but the first priority for postcards will be to relatives who sent me graduation presents. You know how it is.
