Tokyo Discount is one heck of an awesome store! Too bad they don't get CDs or DVDs from Avex Trax though, I wanted some toku goodness. :/ Anyways, I got myself some Bleach playing cards (which are totally awesome), little SD (superdeformed) Punch Hopper and Den-O Sword Form figures (which are way too cute), and a GekiYellow keychain for my sister. Sadly I couldn't find Punch Hopper's dearest Aniki, so I settled for Den-O instead.
My cousins collect these things too, it seems. Just jumping on the bandwagon...
Today, among other things, I spent a lot of time delving a little deeper into the world of J-dramas, and the young ambiguously gay hot pretty men who act in them. And today, among other things, I watched:
Delicious Gakuin: Episode one. This show is essentially Iron Chef on pure, unadulterated crack. Needless to say, it's a nice thing to watch to relax and unwind. I love Ryosuke Miura's (you may recognize him as Kane from Sazer-X) hair in this; I just can't get over the curls. I also like the fact that, in order to recruit three of their students, the four 'kings' kidnap them (that one guy--with the cabbage obsession, don't know his name--his expression to Hironari Amano (Tachibana from Kamen Rider Blade) pulling out the sword was the BEST KIDNAPPING REACTION EVER).
The Prince of Tennis Musical: The Imperial Match Hyoutei in Winter:
Katsu no wa Hyoutei! Makeru no Seigaku! The winner will be Hyotei! The loser will be Seigaku!
When that piece started I pretty much got hooked, haha. XD;; That intro just drew me in.
Kazuki Kato (you might know him as Daisuke from Kamen Rider Kabuto) has quite
the lovely voice. His little
duet with Yuu Shirota is quite lovely, as well. And because I'm a dolt, I didn't realize that Hirofumi Araki (Rio from Gekiranger) was Inui and Hiroki Suzuki (Jan, also from Gekiranger) was Oishi. When I read that up later I was kinda surprised; both Rio and Jan are complete opposites of their characters. Suzuki sounds so different when he's not playing Jan...
Anyways, yeah, that was pretty fun to watch. Musicals are just so fun, wouldn't you agree? I wonder why that is, other than the novelty of seeing one's favorite characters dance and sing. I'll probably try to look for the rest of the Dream Live 3rd later...
Gokusen: Episode one. I'm liking it well enough, especially Kumiko. "Be delinquents with pride and dignity!" She's like... err. I want to say my former English teacher, but that's not quite right. I suppose I can compare it to the feeling you get when you know you have a teacher who's different than the rest. Those kinds of teachers are the best kind because you just learn so much, not only about the subject but from life. So I'm definitely interested in the vast amounts of development that comes from this.
So I was glancing through iTunes and apparently they have most of AAA's singles there! Interesting...
I've been thinking of foregoing that paid account for a few years and start looking at a digital camera instead. I could think of a lot of things I could do with that camera... With a paid account I'd pretty much just be getting a bunch of extra layouts and userpics, right? I don't have much use for the other features. Maybe with a camera I can start making this journal look just a smidge prettier.
Tomorrow I'm going to finish up my homework (which I've been putting off for a week when it'd only take me less than two hours to do), watch Last Exile and start watching Nobuta wo Produce. Let's get this over with...
