(no subject)
So I know a few weeks ago I posted about a job I got as a school nurse in the San Jose Unified district, but....on my way to my first meeting with the other school nurses (which I'm not even on staff there officially yet), I got a call about an interview I had at Kaiser Santa Clara last week for their med/surg new grad program. They offered me a job, starting Feb 4th, for the new grad training, then I'll work on the med/surg/oncology floor. After the training, which is full time, 40hr/wk, I'll only work 24hr/wk on evening shifts (most likely a 3pm-11pm shift). Fine by me--even at less hours, I'm making good money--plus a differential which I haven't even calculated in yet....RJ and I are soo stoked!
Aside from not being broke anymore, its also a position I am much happier about and there is more of a future in. Although I'm not thrilled with Kaiser, its suppoused to be one of the top hospitals to work at. Plus, since I'm in Santa Clara, I'll be in their brand new hospital that opened in '07.
Can you tell I'm thrilled????!!!!!!! The waiting has finally paid off!
