Video game meme
1. Favorite game from the last 5 years?
"Horizon Zero Dawn" and "Pokemon: Moon". The latter one rebooted my love for these games and made it engaging apart from the fights and the first one just blew me away with its design and the very touching story. Buhuu Alloy. ;_;
2. Most nostalgic game?
Pokemon Red and Blue or Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. I have so many fond memories of playing Gameboy whenever I was on the road with my parents and I am still so in love with all the different creatures. I cannot wait for "Detective Pikachu"! God, why did I sell my Smettbo-doll!
3. Game that deserves a sequel?
I'm tempted to say "Horizon: Zero Dawn" again (maybe with a lot more branching story lines and romance options à la Bioware), but I'd also go for "Sleepings Dogs", a game about an undercover cop that suffers greatly from stupid sexism because of course it does but it's also set in Hongkong and the urban fantasy vampire-dlc was SO COOL. Soooo... what I want is a cop-adventure with urban fantasy elements which is not too dark, eh Deus Ex :)
4. Game that deserves a remaster?
"Uncharted". The first two games maybe? I adore the story and the graphics still hold up very well, but I've heard from quite a lot of people that they didn't finish all of it because the shooting sequences bored them to death - which, fair. So maybe less of a remaster and more of a reboot with the same great characters and dynamics but better and more varied gameplay options (stealth for example. I don't wanna shoot about 450 people just to get from point a to point b).
But also! "Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines" would be amazing. It's a funny rpg which I haven't played in ages though because the graphics are pretty off putting to me, for some reason (some uncanny valley going on). I just learned that a sequel was announced back in March, as I was googling around for a trailer to show you. Huh! Gotta ad that to the "to play"-pile.
5. Favorite game series?
Assassin's Creed, without a doubt. I haven't skipped a single game in the entire series (although I haven't yet finished "Origins" or "Odyssey", I must admit) and I am always looking forward to their newest iterations. "Syndicate" and "Assassin's Creed: III" still rank among my favourite games ever!
6. Favorite genre?
Enitrely offline story-driven single-player games and basically only those.
7. Least favorite genre?
I dont like strategy games, I don't like first-person-shooters and i I REALLY HATE online-multiplayer-games.
8. Favorite song from a game?
"The Parting Glass" - from AC: Black Flag.

9. Favorite character from a game?
Oh Gosh, there are so many, so I am limiting it to main characters/playable characters and going with Evie and Jacob Frye from "AC: Syndicate" and Commander Shepard of "Mass Effect" (still sobbing).
10. Favorite ship from a game?
Commander Shepard/Garrus Vakarian, Inquisitor/Cassandra, Hawke/Anders and yeah alright alright, I am worshipping Bioware for their romances (godddd, I even love Kaidan the Canadian being an insufferable idiot and trying SO HARD for his Shepard <333), but also... Dante/Nero and Jacob Frye/Roth (or Jacob/Frederick Abberline) because I love dirty bad wrong angst OR fuzzy wuzzy fluff, nothing in between.
11. Favorite voice actor from a game?
Yeah yeah, Jennifer Hale as Commander Shepard was amazing, but I adore Adrian Hough as Haytham Kenway and of course Noah Watts as Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton in Assassin's Creed 3. People have critized Watts for delivering a flat performance and to that I say, eff them hard, he is a darling and Connor is the bestest most tragic character in the whole series (and miles better than Edward Kenway and I am still bitter about that).
12. Favorite cutscene?
Roth kissing Jacob in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate cause that was all kinds of dirty bad wrong and i LOVED IT.

A very recent adition, but Artemis from Devil May Cry 5 was beautiful!

14. First console?
Nintendo Gamecube that I bought myself when I was seventeen (to play "Zelda: Twilight Princess") or, if we are counting handhelds, the Gameboy Colour I got several days after Christmas because my dad finally caved after having a mopey ten year old sitting under the Christmas tree. :D
15. Current console or consoles?
I still got that Gamecube! As well as my old Gameboy Advance (clear shell!), PS2 (merely for Devil May Cry 2), PS3 and PS4, a Nintendo Switch, a Nintendo 3DS (a very old and dirty and slow one, but I love it for Pokemon Moon and Super Mario Bros!). We still have our pink Japanese Nintendo DS lying around somewhere (we got it to use some of the electronic jishos/dictionaries where you could look up kanji which were all the craze back in the days before smartphones becamse as widespread as they are now). Oh, and we got a SNES when they rereleased them last year because my god was I envious of all my friends back in third grade? who were able to play Donkey Kong.
16. Console you want?
Nothing particular right now. I am always mulling over the idea of selling all my games and consoles and save up for a really good gaming computer but alas... It is too much of a hassle and I just feel different playing on a console than I do while playing on a computer (I tried it with Dragon Age and its sequel but went back around to a console module for Inquisition).
17. Place from a game that you’d like to visit?
Hyrule from "Zelda: Breath of the Wild". Sure, there are monsters roaming about and sometimes one of the stone statues comes to life and fires deadly laser beams at you when you just wanted to pick some flowers near the creepy ruins (why would you even do that) but everythings looks cozy, flowey and soooo soft.
18. Place from a game that you’d like to live in?
The entire Alola region from "Pokemon: Sun/Moon". It's sunny, it has beaches, woods, beautiful mountains, very modern and lively cities and lots of different cultures in all of its easily reachable regions.
Also, Pokemon. Do you spot a theme here yet.
19. Ridiculous crossover that would never happen but would be super fun?
BRING ME ALL THE ASSASSINS FOR A BIG FAMILY REUNION AND THEN GIVE ME A MARY SUE PLAYER CHARACTER SO I CAN PICK AND CHOOSE MY TEAMS BASED NOT ON STATS BUT ON BANTER. CAN U IMAGINE THE TENSION BETWEEN THE KENWAYS. ALTAIR AND JACOB GOING ON STEALTH MISSIONS TOGETHER!!! KASSANDRA BEING ALL CONFUSED WHY EVERYONE IS TAKING EVERYTHING SO SERIOUSLY, OH GOD I WANT THAT SOOO MUCH. Or just put Pokemon in the Uncharted series or in general in every single game in the world, I don't care.
20. Book that would make a good game?
For some reason my first thought was the Cadfael-books. They would make for great point-and-click-mystery-adventures (with some flashback fighting sequences) and aww some Gregorian chants as background music would be so great!
21. Show/Movie that would make a good game?
I haven't watched any shows in a long while so I really can't think of something. "Guardian" would be lovely though, it would be the supernatural crime game that I sooo long for. Switching between the modern Dragon City and the fantasy Dixing realm would be cool (with some better designs pls) and the different team members with their different abilites would be great. Maybe even some turn-based rpg? Where you can select your teammates for each mission? And have some really devastating cut scenes for Zhao and Shen Wei? I AM MELTING AHHHHH....
22. Games you want to play?
Hundreds! I'm looking forward to "Pokemon Shield/Sword" and "Ghost of Tsuchima", "Love Shore", "Nier Automata", I've been putting off "Bayonetta" for way too long now, "Kingdom Hearts III" would be great, "Super Mario Odyssey" is looking sooo good, "Donut County" for a fix of adorableness, I still gotta play "Dishonored" although First Person Perspective makes me dizzy and of course "The Witcher"... ahhh too little time too many games!
23. Have you gotten 100% completion in a game?
I think I had a full pokedex, every pokemon on level 100, every badge and was of course Champion of the Pokemon league in either Red or Blue. After that I never bothered to 100% a game, but I am occasionally trying to fulfill mission optionals.
24. Have you cried over a game?
God, yeah. I was in mourning over "Final Fantasy XV", I cried during "Guardian" (not the web-show but that too!) and "Mass Effect" just destroyed me completely, that was SUCH a sad ending, WÄH!
25. What power-up or ability would you want IRL?
Just the goddamn boring Super 'shrooms from Super Mario, so I could get a height and strenght boost whenever I need it to reach upper shelves. :D

I am forcing myself back intro writing more LJ entries even if it is just some lame video game memes! I am enjoying the first day twelfth day of my very long holiday and will take it veeery slow. (Yes, it took me that long to finish this meme, holy hell!)
