My unpopular opinion about this character:
Civil War was a bloody mess, yes, Tony was an ass during most of it but have people EVEN SEEN WHAT CAP WAS DOING DURING THAT TIME I MEAN COME ON, IT TAKES TWO PEOPLE TO START A WAR and it wasn’t entirely Tony’s fault and basically I just really hate Civil War, okay.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
I wish they would have found a more subtle way to have Tony come clear with his past in the third movie - removing the arc reactor was just too much.

Tony and Tasha feels all the way:
Tony zieht sich nach der anfänglich überschwänglichen Avengers-Euphorie immer mehr zurück, insbesondere von Tasha und Fury und von Steve, weil sie alle ihn in einer seiner schwächsten Phasen gesehen haben (Steve bei Tonys Trauer um Phil Coulson, Fury und Tasha während seines Aussetzers in Iron Man 3) und er diversen post-traumatischen Stress immer noch nicht verarbeitet hat und ihn insbesondere Tasha unruhig macht und er jede Nacht aufwacht und überprüfen muss, ob ihn nicht jemand in seinem eigenen Zuhause (Stark Tower) eingesperrt hat und deswegen krallt er sich an Bruce, weil er das Gefühl hat, dass der noch weniger gern eingesperrt ist, als er selbst und überhaupt, er hat immer noch das Gefühl, dass er SHIELD nicht ganz durchschaut hat, und das schmeckt ihm nicht, weil alles, was er nicht weiß, kann gegen ihn verwendet werden und so langsam dreht er durch, wenn immer Tasha da ist und er sich an ihre Position als "Shield-Schatten" erinnert und sie ihm immer wieder das Gefühl gibt, völlig nackt und mit offenem Brustkorb vor ihr zu liegen und DAS ist das Gefühl, welches er am wenigsten ertragen kann. So wird er langsam aber sicher unfähig mit ihr zu arbeiten, aber natürlich vertraut er sich niemandem an, weil...er ist Tony. Tasha hingegen begreift Tonys seltsames Verhalten nicht, für sie war das eine ganz normale geschäftliche Beziehung und obwohl sie weiß, dass er ihr nicht traut, verlässt sie sich dennoch auf ihn, wenn sie im Einsatz sind. Sie kann nicht einmal, obwohl ihr das sonst sehr leicht fällt, sehen, dass er Angst hat/eine Art Psychose entwickelt, weil ihr der Grund für diese Angst völlig schleierhaft ist: sie kennt Angst, sie hat selbst welche, doch sie hat gelernt, MIT der Angst zu kämpfen, sie also nicht zu überkommen, sondern sie zu nutzen. Sie begreift nicht, dass Tony Zeit dafür braucht, sie hatte schließlich auch nie welche und kann daher den dahinterstehenden Gedankengang nicht begreifen, also, dass er noch seine Wunden lecken muss, die durch den Vertrauensbruch aka dem "Einsperren" entstanden sind. Seit sie gemeinsam den Avengers angehören und er sich wieder und wieder in ihren Kämpfen bewiesen hat, weiß sie, dass sie ihn niemals absichtlich verletzen würde (es sei denn, er wird zum Supervillain natürlich oder aber er behandelt Pepper schlecht ;D) und denkt, dass das eigentlich offensichtlich sein müsste, immerhin hätte sie schon hundert Gelegenheiten dafür gehabt, wenn sie es gewollt hätte... irgendwann kommt sie ihm auf die Schliche, Tony wehrt sich natürlich gegen therapeutische Gespräche/Faustschläge, aber Tasha lässt nicht locker und dann werden sie irgendwann best friends. <333

Civil War was a bloody mess
I do love Civil War, mostly for the endless drama and angst, but boy, do they ever shove off all the guilt to Tony when it's clear that Cap made some seriously bad choices as well.

I wish they would have found a more subtle way to have Tony come clear with his past in the third movie - removing the arc reactor was just too much.
I'm gonna miss the ARC-reactor, it was always such a nice plot-hook for drama, but it was also just such a cool thing.

They were both complete idiots yes but people seem to forgive Cap really quick whereas Tony is still the worst person who ever lived and just... no. He had his reasons and even though he went about saving his friends in the worst possible way he still had noble motives that should count for something, right? RIGHT Q___Q

Seriously, reading Civil War I felt that Tony and Steve were completely different people due to their weird behaviour. They immediately stop talking to each other POUNDING EACH OTHERS' FACES IN in like a day. Cap isn't even trying to talk to Tony after that, iirc? (Yes there is that scene in the old mansion but that isn't even part of the main storyline, like they didn't consider this one of the most important aspects of the story wtf)...

I have way too many feels about this, sorry. XDD
