Yeah I know, I still need to write that Disney-report, but there is something else on my mind right now, something that even managed to get my mind off soccer for a while.
It was this afternoon that pinku (who seriously has too much influence on my choice of fandoms for my liking xD) started to talk about "some supercool highschool series about this musical club called "glee" and omg you totally have to watch it and you will love the teacher and the slashpotential."
Well, at first I thought... oh God a series about musicals at some high school what the hell... but then I gave it a try
and oh my God I was blown away.
The energy, the happiness, the well gleefulness of the whole series hit me like a truck! Like the titanic even!
It is basically about the optimistic and totally hot omg can he please bang me right now I don't care if he has a soft spot for Spanish I'll take him teacher Mister Schuster who wants to help the Glee Club come back to its old glory. It consists of the social losers, nerds and bully victims, one ambitious girl and the highschool's footballstar with a great voice.
Together they struggle to compete against the cheerleading club and want to...
ahh scratch that.
The story might not be the most innovative one and the choice of topics is also nothing new (High School Musical anyone?) but what makes it really glow and sparkle and awesome in general are the characters, the dialogue and the timing!!!! Oh and it helps that all of them are pretty beautiful. xD
First: Mister William Schuester (Matthew Morrison). Looking like an older version of Brandon Quinn (who played Tommy in "Big Wolf on Campus" and is still one of the hottest guys on this side of the universe!), graced with a bright smile and a wonderful voice is the epitome of the perfect teacher. He is lovely, completely commited to his students, always has time for them and teaches with enthusiasm and love for his subjects. Nonetheless he has his flaws: he is stubborn, always puts the needs of his wife before his own (that is a bad thing, believe me) and still wants to relive his own old glory days. But he learns from his mistakes and has great character development (after five fucking episodes I've watched so far! xD)
AND HE HAS THE BESTEST GAY VIBES WITH FINN HUDSON (Cory Monteith), OMG!
You, ah, you didn't hear that last part...xD
Finn is... he is unbelievable. He is naive, he is sweet and honest, he is stupid (awww). He does everything for his mother and is willing to take responsibility, even if he has no idea what to do with it. He is awesome! Really, words fail me when I try to describe him!
And well yeah... he has the most longing looks for William (first episode: he is singing under the shower and Will is watching him) and they are completely gay for each other. xD It took me like two and a half episodes to start writing drabbles about them and right then I had not even seen the reeeeeaaaaallllly good stuff (Will and Finn with hats/cowboy hats or halfnaked and everything).
We also have the evil coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) who is so immensely creepy that it's a pleasure to watch and the sweet, lovable Miss Emma Pillsburry (Jayma Mays) who has a slight problem with obsessional washing and cleaning.
Then there are also Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) the talented secretly gay guy (dancing to Beyoncés"Single Ladies" in one episode and incoorperating that into football and OMG it's awesome!) and Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley) the cute black lady with the amazing loud booming voice and Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz) the colourful sweet Asian girl who stammers when she isn't singing. Oh and there is Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) who sits in a wheelchair and gets some amazing stunts during the dancing performances.
And well yea, last but not least there is Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) the beautiful, talented, BITCHY AS HELL FRIGGIN BITCH I HATE HER -..- who has a stunning voice and amazing acting skills (it's just the character that I hate because she is whiny, the wrong kind of eager and a total bitch).
This awesome cast works so well together, each one has their own likeable personality and acts perfectly well with the others.
There are conflicts, there are bitchfights but at the same time topics like early pregnancy, self esteem problems and other stuff high school students can relate to.
The humor is wonderful, timing is perfect and the music choice is awesome! Beyoncé and the very first song was "On my own" from "Les Miserables" one of the most beautiful solos ever!!! Then we had "It's my life" or "Confessions" or "Take a Bow" or ... my God, it's sooooo good! It lightens up your mood immediately, you will get the urge to jump out of your chair and dance and sing around and scream out of joy! Listen to me people, I have gone crazy. xD But it's the GLEEfull kind of crazyness so that is completely ok I think.
And here while I watch some episodes, have some photos:
Mister Schuester and Rachel. Yeah I don't know about that bow either but the costumes are made of awesome.
See what I mean? =D
HELLO MISTER AWESOME PLEASE BE IN MY BED RIGHT NOW.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWW Will and Finn, I am dying of the cute!!!!!
