In your honor

So, life has been going well lately. I've been involved in summer school for the past 8 weeks, which has included one 3 week mini-mester (Government I... I made an A) and next week I will be finishing my 6 week Summer I session of Government II. It's actually been good for me to get back to school since I was out for almost a year. Compared to working all day every day, it's a breeze.

Because I have been in school, Brett has been taking care of me financially, which is nice. (He's my Sugar Daddy) He got a new job at Planet Ford in Spring and gets paid double what he did at D&D. I'm really proud of him for setting this goal to be an auto body painter. It just goes to show that not everyone has to do the whole college thing to get a good job doing something they love.

On another note, I got the new Foo Fighters and Weezer CDs. They're both good. I thought their new song was cool and had kind of a different sound to it, but all of the rest of the CD sounds like old Weezer. It's an alright CD, I guess. Foo Fighters is great though. Not as great as One By One, but still great none the less.

The baby is doing fine. He's growing and putting pressure on my abdomen and pelvic bone like a mo fo. I'm starting to waddle too, but not because I'm that big (or at least I hope not) but because my pelvic bone and thighs hurt so bad. I have to go in for another glucose test because it was elevated when I got blood work done last week. So now I have to give blood every hour for 3 hours and sit at the doctor's office all freaking morning. I'm really going to be mad if my blood shows that I don't have pregnancy caused diabetes, but they freaked me out and made me sit around all day for nothing. Actually, I'm not quite sure what happens when you have this whole diabetes thing when you're pregnant. I know it goes away after you have the baby, but I don't want to lose a leg or anything. Isn't that what happens to people with diabetes? Anyway, it's pretty scary. My whole pregnancy has gone perfectly so far, so it sucks that something might come up 3 months before he's due.

In related news, we went apartment searching on Saturday because our lease is up in November and we want to be ready for that since the baby is coming just one month before that. We totally have our hearts set on Paramount in Kingwood off of 59. They are so beautiful, but so expensive. A 2 bedroom is $895 a month, but from how things are going now, Brett will still be able to afford everything while I finish school. Hopefully every thing works out as planned.

Oh, and my 4th of July was kind of fun. We went to Freedom Fest downtown at Buffalo Bayou with Mac, Kim and her boyfriend Mike. Leanne Rhymes and Clint Black played, which wasn't the most exciting thing ever, but we had fun anyway. I just have to say that Houston is a city full of Mexicans and freaks. I guess you see all kinds of people at these events, but it was like, man, I had no idea. I guess living in the suburbs shields you from all of that. (We do have a lot of Mexicans here too, but still) Anyway, the fireworks show was pretty good.

And that's about it. I never update anymore so my entries seem like a novel once I'm finished. Anyway, I'm off to watch tv or something.
