There are like 100 emails I have neglected to answer and I feel terrible about it. I just get on here, check mail, answer things that need no thought and run off. Maybe I will catch up here soon as I have to stay still for a little while because....
Today I had surgery on my foot. It really sucked. I can't even tell you how many procedures I have had done (surgeries, spinal taps, drainings, etc etc.) and I usually don't make a peep. But they stuck the needle in the nerve and and I became a wuss... "Ow ow ow!" ehehhe. It's pretty gross....they showed it to me before they bandaged it up and its a huge hole...goes to the bone..and they can't sew it up so it just has to slowly fill back in with skin...hopefully it won't look too gross when it gets better. Until then I just have to be super careful not to do too much on it to aggrevate the wound and be careful of infection. Gross huh? Doens't help that we are in the middle of repainting half of the new apartment and moving. At least we got the wallpaper down in one room and I got two coats of trim on it so Rob only has to hit it with the roller...and after two days we finally got the burgandy done in the livingroom (I heard painting with reds were hard, but goodness!)
But looks like most of the moving is going to be left to Rob and whoever else. I'll most likely be able to pack a bunch of stuff up at least, but all those stairs are a no-no right now.
I'm so excited about the new place. My kitchen cabinets are actually nicer than my parents. It is a lot smaller place but in a great neighborhood and it's a much nicer apartment. We've already had three neighbors come over to introduce themselves, and it's nice to see parents and kids out riding bikes and walking around. Far cry from Blue Island haha. We are also officially in the city now which is also nice.
I've rambled enough...I'll post pics of the painting progress soon, and if you want to be grossed out I'll show you my foot too. haha.
Rob quote: "Will you ever not be broken, sweetheart?" lol. I sure hope so.
P.S. The boat is finally in the water...Went on Saturday. It's still pretty cold, but I can forsee many good times coming our way!
