I'm always last on the bandwagon, but has anyone watched Ai No Kusabi? I've recently gotten my hands on parts of the novel, the DVD as well as parts of the Drama CD on the internet, and I'm just loving this piece of work. Of course there was the mind-blowing sex, the pretty boys, mentions of the sex trade, excessive voyeurism as well as shiploads of angst... but it was done without it being sleazy in my opinion. Although this was not necessarily a video I'd want to watch with a friend, it's still a solid film to watch when (if it is possible) one is bored with porn and want something... erm... meatier to sink their teeth into. :)

Raoul. Iason Mink's best friend who really, really doesn't like the idea of a Mongrel being an exclusive Pet to an Elite. What can I say. He has issues. You can tell just by looking at him, can't you?
Guy. Riki's ex-lover. He's probably a nice person, but for the life of me, I cannot bring myself to like him.
How Riki first came into close contact with Iason. I'm dead serious.

I loved the voice overs and I'm just astounded by how high a register Riki could go and yet still maintain his boyly (as opposed to manly) goodness. Right-click and save, if you please. The translation to this can be seen here. Just look under Track 7. It's basically the bit where Iason puts on the "Pet Ring" on a certain part of Riki's anatomy that makes me blush to think about. Needless to say, the poor boy was furious, but well... you know how it goes. The more you hate it, the more you want it in the end, right?
