we just got the short end of an earthquake.
A 4.7 quake at lake Elsinore a few minutes ago. It was only a bump here, and my daughter laying on the sofa in the same room with us didn't feel it. Hubby and I did. Just a little wake up and remember me from mother natur.
We have a friend in Corona is closer, we'll have to call him later and see if anything was knoced over at his place.
In other new.
It's already 90 deg here and going to get up to 101. I'm so ready for this heat wave to end!
Hubby's nee is feeling better. It still hurts but there is progress toward getting better.
The kids are both happy and sad that school start Wed.
I wish I could have gotten them more new clothes and shoes, but with hubby not working they are going to have to wait untill he is. They got new back packs and notebooks and stuff. They have newish jeans and the uniform shirts from last semester so they should look okay.
I made a salid yesterday for dinner, for hubby and I. I didn't expect the kids to like it, but my daughter took a bowl and scarfed it down. I made a chocolate/bananna bread pudding for breakfast today one didn't like it and the other refused to try it. 1 for 2 I guess.
the salid was kilbasa sausahe cut into small (1/2 inch or smaller) chunks and fried untill crisp, draind and cooled, small shell pasta about a cup uncooked, cooked drained and cooled, sired in a bit of itilian dressing. In to a big bowl, the sausage, the pasta, a draind rinced can of back beans, half a bag of lettice salid, a handfull or two of grape tomatos, (could use cherry tomatos cut in half) about a cup of frozen corn, and a lot more itilian dressing, and let it cool for an hour or so. Yummy! of course you can add anything you want to such a salid, they are hard to rune. :)
We went to a maul yesterday. Hubby needs to walk, I needed to get out of the heat. But instead of going to the close maul hubby wanted to go somewhere different, he had me drive us 20 mile to a bigger maul. this would have been okay but, about half way through he realized he'd bit off more than he could chew when he knee started hurting. Also everyone was getting hungery and it had been agreed before we left that we were not eating out. So while I got to be in the cooled air for a few hours, I had to drive longer in the heat to get there and back, and I didn't get to looke around some of my favoriate stores, like Bath & Body works, or Hot Topic, or the candle store that looked really cool, or the kitchen store... I did manage to sneak into a picture gallery, there were a couple of the painitngs that I would love to be able to get. a couple took my breath away.
Well enough baddly seplled rambling. I've got stuff to read, and drawing to do, movies to watch, not to mention laundry... dishes...vacumeing...
