Ok, I said I wouldn't draw realistic portraits anymore. But...
I just had to draw her. I
found the image in a magazine about 4 years ago. And on Friday, I don't
know why, I just decided to go ahead and try to draw Ira. So, I opened
my beloved Photoshop.
I don't know how many hours this one took, probably something between 4
and 6 hours. I don't really know, because I did it in 3 days.
I know, the hair is absolutely ugly. I might go back to it and try do
fix it, but it's so difficult, and I'm not even sure I'll improve it.
Next time I draw Ira, I'll surely have her hair in a pony-tail.
For the little story, Ira is my favorite character from Les Enfants de
l'Ô, ex aequo with Tia. Both girls are pretty much alike, Ira being a
little nicer with strangers...
And for those who wander, Ira is NOT the girl Tia sees when she looks at Kôra at the end of the book.
Yeah, Ira and Kôra look very much like each other. They are even related... But still, the girl Tia sees is another one.
And for those who thought my book was an easy sci-fi story, too bad... ;)
Now, to the drawing...
Ok, you can criticize as much as you want on the hair and everything
else. If you have any advice, I would be really glad to hear it...
Yeah, I spent forever on the eyes... :)
