I think I threw out my back today while cleaning. I called into work this morning since today is one of the few days I've woken up and not been a zombie. I figured another day off would do me good. Then I threw out my back. DAMN.
On Friday I went to sleep at 10:15 and didn't wake up until Saturday at 10:15. Somewhere around 2 (?) or so I took another 3 hour nap and then saw everyone off for the bachelor party. I went to bed around midnight, didn't fall asleep until 2, then woke up at 8 this morning in prep for work. I felt much more refreshed this morning, but still had a terrible headache (as usual these days). I figured I should stay home, just in case.
Mark made some awesome french toast for breakfast since Henry and Josh were staying here, and then I had a pb&j and soup for lunch, and I'm still hungry. Maybe I was sick? It was weird: I was sleeping tons of hours and not feeling any better, not eating at all, yet not feeling hungry. I dunno. I just ordered from Silver Mine and should be feeling even better soon?
Finally saw The Beach today; it came on my Leonardo Di'Caprio set along with Romeo and Juliet and Man in the Iron Mask (which is amazing, for those of you who have not seen it, watch it). Not too bad, actually. Probably not one I'll watch again soon. It's that kind of dreamy movie that makes you think about things too much, but still not enough to keep you engaged. Chris should see it, for sure.
Speaking of, haven't heard from him in a couple days. He's still visiting in Amsterdam, should be back on the 9th or 10th sometime. We have a Skype date on Thursday, but I guess I'd like to hear from him too, especially since his parents keep asking me if I've heard from him since he got to Amsterdam. Which, yes, I have, but only the couple of times, and none really since. *shrug* I figure he's out and about, and obviously not sitting next to his computer, which is a good thing. :)
Should hear from B&N early this week. Now that I've only got 3 days working, this week should be a breeze. I close Tuesday and Wednesday, but those usually aren't too horrible of days. I've been studying a little for my FSOT, but I've been surprised at how much my geography skills have slackened over the years. I used to know Europe pretty well. I've never known Africa (beyond North Africa) much, so that I won't dwell on. I'm pretty awesome at Asia and South Asia, which I guess comes with my college courses. Pfft. I'll figure it out. It's not like this is a test you can really study for, anyway.
The Sims 3? Not as addictive as one might expect. And until they can find a way to correct their faulty age-progression and story progression buttons, you can't move two separate households into the same neighborhood without possibly not getting to play the other one while they go out, find jobs, get married, have babies, and other things...without you. Interesting? Try...aggravating. It hasn't caused me too much trouble, yet, since I haven't created a second family in the same neighborhood. But once the kids of my single family right now grow up, it would probably be nice to be able to control their potential significant other. Also, the Sims 3 Store is a complete joke. I spent my free 1,000 points as any person would, but don't expect me to waste any more money on stuff that should have been placed in the original game to begin with. I know, I know, I'm a Sims freak, but I've spent enough money over the years they should create special packages specifically for moi. Screw anyone telling me I have to spend more. I'll keep my eyes on The Sims Resource and their inevitable plethora of user-created custom content. All of which will include original mesh files, I'm sure. :)
I don't like Demonoid's search function. It doesn't include the names of individual files within its capabilities. Or...there isn't an option to do this. It would be really helpful when searching for completely random indie music from Gossip Girl. Instead of searching through the 3 albums for every artist for the one song I'm looking for, I could simply type the whole into the search bar. Bah. Also...I hate it when people upload files and give NO description. None whatsoever. Or...better yet...sometimes they'll write stuff like, "OH, and I found this and it's GREWAT!!! Love it like I DO!@!" Fuckers. Write a goddamn description, seriously.
I think there may be another film in the works for this evening once I get my dinner. I'm thinking another foreign film (to add to Persepolis, which I watched last night), but I can't decide if I'm really in the mood to watch a Mandarin film (since I have mostly those to choose from). Dunno yet, we'll see.
5 days. And really...more like 4 days and 18 some hours. And really...if you want to get technical, let's just say 4 days and like 15 hours since that's when we're leaving to pick him up. Not much longer, anyhow.
