First update will be recent activity:
-Neighbors upstairs are now officially on my list. Vomiting in the public hallway and not cleaning it up is simply not acceptable. This past weekend was a terror with them living upstairs. As Chris agrees, I'm not sure how they haven't gotten evicted yet, but I'm going to try my darndest to figure out why. On another note, from now on when they leave their door opened and unlocked I'm just going to walk up and take stuff. Figure it's only fair.
-Mifflin is really overrated, but walking on the street for about a half hour was pretty good. Victoria and I got some good views of what was going down. Seemed a little more quiet this year, and we finally got our necessary police pictures (before we leave Madison, that is). We are not, however, being arrested in the pics. That's just too crazy. :)
-My main char. in WoW is level 49. Woot! I'm doing well at savoring my playtime.
-I bought Project's new cd on CDBaby, it's pretty darn good.
-Got some awesome deals at Waldenbooks courtesy of Victoria's tip of them closing the West Towne mall location: all books 25% off, a select few 75% off. I bought 4 Legend of Zelda manga and Heroes Volume 2.
-Trying to get info on a dvd series called Fairies of Liaozhai. Apparently it's not too bad, but I'm still unsure if I want to spend the $53 on a 40-episode Chinese dvd series that I'm not sure I'll like.
-Applied to a couple of jobs recently, one with potentially high prospects. Applying to another tomorrow, though really not sure they'd match the current salary. Here's hoping.
-Studying Chinese on my own again. Got through lessons 1, 2 and 3 today in the first book with no problems. I haven't studied any characters yet, though, and I know this will be where I fail. At least the speaking is down pat. This week I want to make flashcards again and study the characters fully. I want to know the entire first book completely before the end of the summer in prep for Chris's class starting in August.
-Counting down the last few weeks in this apartment. Although it's causing us problems, it's sort of the epitome of the college apartment, and something I've never really had yet, so at least I can say I've lived through it. Next year will bring some much-needed stability to my life, so hopefully I can look forward to that.
-I eat entirely too much chocolate.
-On another, unrelated note, I need to start working out more. I want to start crunches every night again, and once I get some air in my bike tires this weekend, I want to try and bike for a couple nights a week on the bike trail. I want to try and get further each night I ride. It's such amazing exercise, and you don't really notice how tired you get or how exhausting it is until you're done. I'm remembering fondly my bike ride with Tommy when I came home, completely red in the face, and promptly passed out for about 4 hours, dying. :) Good times.
-Still need to finish organizing music. Mission for tonight: do this! No movie watching until the rest of the music is added to the WMP library, properly coded and rated.
-Slightly concerned about something right now, but I'm choosing to just trust my gut and not worry about it. Let's see how this goes.
And now, onto the trip entry!
