Pairing: Surprise? Not Harry/Peter, for sure. I think.
Fandom: Spider-Man (Any universe I guess, except Ultimate Spidey)
Notes: Thank you, my lovely, endearing MJ aingeal_isilme for beta-reading it; wynter_myst for pointing out something in a cookie of this fic I gave her. And thanks to abraxan for her opinion on whether I should post this, even though she didn't read it at all. ( Read more... )

His mouth is dry and his throat is parched. He doesn't bother to move, not even to push the stray lock of hair that's getting into his eye.
You make his humanity so clear. You remind us that he tires, just like anyone else, that within the superhero, there is still a man.

But while Eddie's hate is simple, the symbiote's isn't
Beautiful line. I'd never thought about it in this light before, but it's so true. The symbiote's feelings for Peter are so exquisitely complicated, and you say this in a way which is beautiful in its simplicity. In its truth.

"Come on and take me. Isn't that what you've always wanted?"
*melts. all over. the line* That is what the symbiote has always wanted. This is how it should have been, if Peter had wanted it back. *melts*
It's what I've always wanted. *beams*

But when it realises Peter is offering himself willingly, dark tendrils the colour of jet unfurl and twine up his legs, wrapping around his torso and spreading itself over his lean frame, rapidly, gently, protectively. Peter doesn’t know what hell-hole he’s just signed himself up for; he flinches.
Peter tries hard to detach his feelings from the entity's and focus, but his head is still giddy from their union. The symbiote has bound itself tightly to him; there is no going back now.
The. Most. Staggering. Paragraph. To. Ever. Have. me on my knees. GODS. This is seduction in its purest form. This is absolute possession. This is the way I want to see this written. I love the way you described the joining as "their union". I love the way you had a willing Peter.

that makes Peter start feeling angry towards himself for no reason whatsoever. It also tells him that it never truly bonded with the other despite being with him for months, hoping that one day it will be with Peter again because he is the one.
Can I tell you how much in love with your symbiote I am? It's incredibly insidious - look at the way it's gotten Peter on its side, even against himself, just by the simple act of sharing its emotions with him. And the symbiote never bonds with Eddie because it's always holding out for Peter. Oh. Symbiote/Peter up til this point has always been the classic case of unrequited love, and - thank you.

And when it starts to laugh in his head, and caress him, Peter freaks out
*grin* Oh, Peter.

They have a Carnage to stop.
I love the way you ended this. You had their, uh, physical, union, but now you make it more. Now you see them united by a common purpose, and that, is just as powerful.

Also. What do you mean by you can't write. This was good.
