I hope everyone I know is doing OK with the fires. My parents live very close to the Santiago Fire and evacuated Sunday night because of the smoke. Fortunately (for me), the fire has been moving south and east - my parents' home in Northwood is to the northwest of where the fire started and they went home last night. Here's a map. I was teaching yesterday and one of my students talked about how she had to help both her aunt and her parents evacuate in San Diego County, where things are much worse. This is by far the worst I've ever seen the fires in terms of threatening residential areas. I've been glued to local news (at which I normally scoff) for days.
