Last year I had the honor of writing the first incident report of the year after a confused patient fell out of bed (she had a companion at the bedside, remember that? I DO)
This year I had the honor of writing the first employee incident report after a confused patient dug her nails into my skin and dragged. It sounds worse than it looks, but it might leave a scar for a while.
We failed at settling the patient in bed (she was calmly sitting on the edge with her feet hanging over, but would kick and scream anytime you touched her). She injured three out of 4 of us that went in there. XD This lady was STRONG!
Afterwards she asked why everyone came in to beat her up.
Oh hospital, you are so funny.
