In other news... some of these doctors are SRSLY GOOD LOOKING. ::swoon::
And nice to me. I like it when doctors are nice to me... it's just that nursing school kinda drills into your head the opinon that all doctors are jerks that couldn't care less about what you think. That is certainly not true... it's just me, and I tend to exaggerate the things that cause me the most anxiety.
The internship is going well... PACU is wonderful, not a snooze-fest as I thought it would be. I'm starting to think that it really is a good idea to get into critical care nursing as soon as I can... as one of the other nurses put it, you have more support in these areas, rather than being left out to dry upstairs on the floors. That was a really good point that I'm going to consider for this coming year. My preceptor is a very sweet lady and an awesome teacher... I feel bad that I can only do so much in there but when it gets busy I try to help however I can. We managed to get everyone out of there and all of a sudden there where 7 of us and three patients. NICE. I went home early.
