(no subject)

I'm working on a small make-over for thePlenty.net once again and one thing that I've been pondering a lot for a long time is whether or not I should add a discussion board to it. It's pretty much a "default" thing in any fansite, but since there are so many Hobb related boards and communities out there already, I've always thought that no one would want to use it. (Hobb's own newsgroup, Willem's, Farseer Fitzanity, fitz_is_stupid, buckkeep and hobblings to mention just a few.)

But especially since opening the wiki and starting to accept quote suggestions from visitors etc, I've felt more and more that we should have a platform for the people who visit the site regularly. There could also be rooms for discussions in different languages - the French have their own active forum and there is one Chinese/Taiwanese board as well (though it hasn't been too active lately), but other than that it's pretty quiet at the moment. I think/hope that a Finnish room would have some traffic at least? Another reason that I've been so hesitant to do this is that it would require quite a lot of time for maintenance and moderating from my part, so I would probably have to drop some of my other online activities/duties (and only very few remain these days anyway...) So, here's me asking this:

Poll Do we need yet another Robin Hobb discussion board?

This post & poll is open to anyone, so feel free to point your hobbling friends to it (because I'm way too mousy to go advertising this around much). Also feel free to leave comments and suggestions as well. Thank you! :)
