Let me tell you a little story about the ineptitude of Miami Dade County.
Ok so late last year late october I believe I got a ticket. The following day being a teacher work day, I went, got a money order and paid my ticket. In full. Only in early January to receive a notice my license was suspended. The reason I have just found out, that the fucking government lost my money order and receipt of my payment. So pretty much its like I never went in there, that I never paid, hence I just lost 200 dollars of my own money, and now I have a suspended license hanging over my head. The frustration and hate for Miami Dade County is extreme right now. It's reasons like these that make me happy I am never going to live in Miami again if I can avoid it.
UPDATE: So i was desperatly searching through the piles of paper some up to 2 years old in my room, and I came across my saving grace. I found my papers that were filed with the county. I figured out the mistake too, the stupid woman working at the clerks office at the courthouse put my ticket as 1860 when its supposed to be 1862 so according the the county i technically never paid. It's not the big ticket either thought, its only a 7.50 fine, but still I think I will probably take it to court as to avoid the 50 dollar reinstatement fee. So now I don't blame the county because they filed everything properly, I blame the woman who filed it for not knowing how to type a 2 instead of a 0.
