Hard Decisions
Our car needs a new a/c compressor assembly. That's expensive.
I drove a Civic, Sentra, Corolla, and Mazda 3 yesterday. My favorite was the sentra, Ed's was the mazda 3. I hated the new gauge design of the 2008 civic. In the end, we will repair our car and not buy a new one. One fo the financial goals for the year was to rid ourselves of a car payment. Buying a new car does not accomplish that goal at all. So, repair, no new car.
Many many many thanks to Jeff for letting us drive his car. It was a life saver. Our car will be fixed tomorrow morning.
Work is very interesting. Today was not a good day for my team overall, but for me it wasn't bad.
Not being compliant on the medication I'm supposed to be taking, but that's not unexpected. I'm going to try to get back on track starting tomorrow. I've gotta be on even status for Dragon Con.
Dragon Con prep is going very well. I am very confident in the person who is really helping me this year. He is constantly thinking about it (he actually has planty of time for it right now) and has new ideas, which is always good. It's gonna be a madhouse for me between Timegate, OutlantaCon, Rainbow Flag Party, OW Party, Brit Trak Party, something with Stargate track, and the timegate and OW fan tables. Yeah. I've bitten off way too much, but again, prep is going very well, and I know people will be there to back me up, they always are. This weekend we are wrapping up the shopping, flyer copying and cutting and separate into boxes for what goes where.
Also, Game fest is in Chattanooga this weekend and I really wanted to get flyers there. However, no bites on anyone going. Which is a bummer.
Now I just need to get some notices out to groups once the web work is done, and I think I am set to pimp it hard. I have a good team there as well. K and L both post to many groups and they are good about talking things up. Google AdWords is going well. I'm still figuring things out, but dollar for dollar, I am very pleased with the results.
