Oh wait, you want my definition? Oh well I don't really know. It's too general of a word. Well I use it in a variety of different contexts. But it's something good. And it's to do with a mental state. Involving something else.
Love is.... a mental condition due to attachment stimuli. It results in the sensation of heart beating faster, in a good way. Hmmm, I don't know. All I know that I have deep problems with expressing it as well as related emotions, hence my trying to avoid the topic here. It's funny because I'm basically doing my PhD on the 'love hormone' as it's been nicknamed.
I'll give this a go. Well I guess love to me is two things primary. A 'philosophy' and a feeling. I don't know if philosophy is the right word I'm looking for. Like I would call 'friendship' a philosophy, not a feeling. So something you love is something you care for, above all else. This is combined with trust. Hmmm, caring and trust. With a dash of altruism. It's not easy to describe imo. It's not a feeling in that you can still love someone even though you feel sad, happy, scared, etc. You know the love is still there.
Then there is the emotion of love. I googled 'what does love feel like'. quite funny actually. Anyway, they all seem to describe limerence to me. I suppose it's the closest I have experienced. And maybe it's the same bloody feeling anyway. Except maybe love has a little more trust (reduced anxiety) thrown in too. I described how limerence is for me on Days 1 and 2, so not going to bother repeating it. Reading the wikipedia page on it describes the stages of going through a 'phase'. Is that actually a bit creepy or what? It's never been to that higher degree with a person, but I think it would be so weird! Especially if it's obvious. I don't know, can you tell what 'phase' I am currently going through at the moment? (Haha, exciting to think about someone guessing, but I hope no one does because it's at the 'shy' stage) Anyway the poor person who'd receive that kind of 'love':(
