Finally, Nintendo officially showcased its its brand new handheld, the Nintendo 3DS. As mentioned before, this new handheld has screens capable of displaying the 3D illusion seen in theatres onto the handheld without the need for any special glasses.

Damn, I probably won't be able to see the 3D, hopefully there will be no annoying effects in the way. I have strabismus (squint)-, so I am not able to use binocular visual cues for depth perception. My eyes don't work together because one eye is very short sighted (right) and the other is much better (left), and they need to work toegether for depth cues which rely on the slight difference in image location on the retina between the two eyes - such as the 3D effects in movies. But then again, I'm not sure how they're doing the 3D effects because there are no glasses. So if it doesn't use stereoscopic images, sweet.
