I donut want to go to work tomorrow. It's been such a great weekend!
Tiana and I made it into the city for the day. I was finally able to get her on the bus, then we took the green line down to the commons. We found a quiet little tavern in Quincy Market that was surprisingly reasonably priced and quite delicious. We also managed to catch a street performance while we were there. I really love Faneuil Hall. We walked to Copley and took a quick look at the library, but I'd have to say that the best part was the people watching.
We were hoping to go to the Sam Adams brewery for the free tours that they offer, but it's in Jamaica Plains, so...we'd probably need a body guard.
I can't wait for spring and summer to come. Lunch on the commons, walking in the warm sun, buying fruit and vegetables in Copley Square, and hopefully a trip to the arboretum.
The weekend was also capped off by my dad and Donna coming up to visit for about an hour and a half, and bringing enough homemade food to last about two weeks. She's such a nice, genuine person and I'm so happy that they're together.
The BAFTAs have reminded me how terribly behind I am in watching great movies. I watched District 9 recently, and the more I think about it, the more I really love it. Has anyone seen any of these? What did you think?
