another one bites the dust...

It's shocking why people shall pass away at the age of 26. Why people who live their life fully, who create great things, who give whatever they can unselfishly... I knew this chap for about 10 years now. The picture in my mind hasn't changed a bit though. At the age of 16 he was a young, energetic DJ, always full of ideas of parties, live acts, looking for any occasions to practice, to play. He came to the radio studio to practice early in the afternoon, or to play as a background DJ for the programs in the evening. And a really good music he played. I really liked, and still like that kind of uncompromising minimal techno they played with our friends, King, Dorka, Odin, Tizso and all the others at those parties in the nineties.

At twenty something he did not look a day older than 18. He was doing all the same he did in '99, only at a higher level. I always received his invitations to the infamous 3as6árhegy "illegal" free parties he organized, and I so fucking wish I had the chance to visit any single one of them, I would be more at a peace now. He was still making a chance for DJs to show themselves, and people the opportunity to have a great time at minimal cost, as he always did.

He's gone now, and a great deal of Hungarian underground techno scene with him.
We will miss you dearly, the organizer, the DJ, the friend.

Bakai "Reakthor" Ferenc, rest in peace.
