Last night at about 4AM Cricket woke me up. She was spinning around on the bed and at first I thought she was chasing her tail, but she fell off the bed and started twitching on the floor and breathing heavily and foaming at the mouth, and she vacated her bladder all over herself. This was all in the space of about two minutes. Afterwards, she seemed very disoriented, but she followed me into the bathroom and cleaned herself off and then went into the kitchen and started eating as though nothing happened. Now this is not the first time she's had a seizure like this, apparently Charity witnessed one a few weeks ago, but she seemed fine. I called the emergency vet line and they said to take her in and get some blood work done, but in my current financial situation, there is no way I can afford to take her in to the vet. I called whitelikejesus and asked if his mom could take her to the vet, as it was her cat originally. I'm worried because Cricket has been such a comfort to me this past month. It's true what they say, that pets make you feel better and help the healing process. If she wasn't around, I would be mind-numbingly depressed laid up with a broken nose. I hope she'll be ok, but is she needs some medication to control her seizures, there's no way I'll be able to afford it right now.
Charity still hasn't picked up the rest of her crap or returned the keys, but my caretaker changed the locks today, so I'll call her and tell her (should she pick up) that if she doesn't come and get her things by the end of the month, I'll assume she doesn't want them. I'm so sick of her telling me that she's coming on this day or that day and not showing up and not even telling me. Already I have two prospective roommates, both of whom seem more solid than Charity.
