The morning of the Promised Day, he was all fired up and ready to go to Central and kick the homunculi's ass. He just got his badass and cool red jacket on too! Ranfan came back a little earlier. Al's locked up into that rock thing with Pride thanks to Al's own plan with Hohenheim. Ed went with the group to do his best against the enemy because Al was doing his best too. And their group just met Marcoh's group, yay eating out. His automails might have taken a little damage from the fight against Pride and Gluttony, but it's nothing too serious. So, this time he has survived from a battle without getting his automails destroyed? Wow. And he grew taller, no short complex here!

Ed is a hot-headed troublemaker who can't stay still doing nothing without getting bored. He describes his own style as 'badass' and 'cool' and he doesn't see what's so bad with his designing skills while everyone else think that the skulls and other stuff he makes don't work at all. At least his style is unique and people know that its made by Ed! (That's supposed to be a good thing in his opinion!) If you want his respect, you have to earn it from this impolite brat. And even if you have his respect, Ed has his own ways to show it to you. He's an interesting guy who doesn't even talk to his boss in the way he should talk to him, but rather behaves like an impolite brat in front of him. Ed has the rights of a major in the army but he rather treats most people there as his friends. He's got his devilish side too. For example: Mustang should live a very long life if he wants his money back from Ed.
He is also an extremely brave and reckless guy who tends to not think before he acts. Ed likes doing everything loudly, so it's very easy to know where he is. Ed's personality can be something extremely explosive if you push the right buttons. He doesn't have any problem in expressing his opinions, whether you ask them or not. Sometimes he talks endlessly. Just try to stop him somehow when you are too tired to listen to him. Ed also makes a lot of questions and he won't mind asking personal questions either. He hates being ignorant and asking questions is a good way to avoid it.
When things get dangerous and/or scary, Edward may be shocked about some things at first, look scared even, but he's never been afraid of any opponent in front of him. Ed's seen too much for a kid in his age to be afraid of things around him often. He's got his own nigthmares and fears but they're mostly about stuff that happened to his family, and yes, Ed has nightmares often. He also sleeps much more than normal people, so if it's quiet, Ed's probably just sleeping and collecting energy to yell even more.
Edward is a big brother who has devoted his whole life to put Alphonse back into Al's real body. He is extremely determined to do this, it is his main goal in life and he won't let anything stop him from doing it. Though the Elric brothers argue a lot, they spend all their time together and live for each other. You don't talk anything bad about Al in Ed's presence, it just doesn't happen, unless you want Ed to lose control and show his extremely protective big brother side. Yes, Al can fight on his own but Ed's the one who gets easily annoyed, so it's usually Ed who gets enough of your bullshit. He is one of those persons who accept anything you do to him or say about himself (...except short stuff, but he's not short anymore), but you don't hurt his loved ones in any way or else you'll get a violent attack from Ed. Al is everything to Ed. He is also the only one who sees every sides of Ed and hears everything straight from him. They are very close. His golden eyes often have the look "I'll do anything to protect this person from everything" in them (especially if it's Al or Winry who's in trouble) and it would be wise for everyone to take it literally. It means everything else but dying, Ed's not someone who'd give up and what can he do for Al if he ends up dying? Nothing. He is determined to find a way for them both to stay alive even if it means that he won't get his real limbs back. It's never been important to Ed to get them back. Some people mistake him for an optimist for his strong will to stay alive, but in his own opinion he's not that. Ed's a fighter. Yes, he's always fighting but he's also one of those who refuse to give up in a dead end. If there's no way out, he'll find a new way out of trouble. Or he'll literally make his own doors with alchemy if it's a literal dead end in an alley or a room with locked doors or anything like that.
Ed really tells (almost) everything to Al (and even to Winry now when she knows a lot more than she used to know), but he's usually quiet about his own problems in front of everyone else. He made his own mess (yes, just he, it was his idea to bring their mother back alive) so he should clean his own mess too. If other people know too much about it, they may end up dying and the Elric brothers really don't want that to happen. So while Ed's not always as fine as he claims to be, he hides it completely behind his glare and brave front. You're not going to get anything out of him when he does this. He's curious about your life, yes, but he tends to be quiet about his personal stuff. Sometimes he still hears that they really should rely on other people more. He'd like that, but they can't do that - not after everything that has happened until now. Ed's a genius, though he doesn't like the title at all. His genius side usually surprises people because he acts like an immature idiot brat so often. He is the youngest State Alchemist of all history and he knows very much about alchemy by heart. His memory is also incredible with other things than just alchemy related stuff (x called him little x times) and his skills as an alchemist are awesome for someone who's only a sixteen year old kid. When Ed starts reading a book, his full concentration is on the book in a few seconds. He won't even hear you while he reads it and he reads a lot. He looks defenseless while he's asleep but it's wise to leave him alone even then.
Inside all this badass and cool brave front Ed has a caring, kind and soft side too. Sometimes his kindness can sound harsh like he usually is (an impolite brat) making people like Winry apologize for it and sometimes he just really shows some real kindness to people. Yes, he can be friendly sometimes, he just usually isn't - except in his own way. Ed is extremely loyal to his friends and he actually befriends people easily. And while he realizes that yes, he does love Winry, he won't do anything about it for years for now. He's got to get Al back first before anything else. There are still some people, places and things that can make him relaxed and smile and laugh. He really cares about people around him, never mind that he's got his own ways to show this. Sometimes Ed still behaves like a little kid in a candy shop and gets easily excited about some things he sees ["AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! ..."].
He has never killed anyone. Even though he just learned a lesson about it, almost getting killed as result, he will be extremely hesitant to kill anything "human-like". They're humans in his eyes. If he'd deny this, he'd deny Al being a human too and that's something Ed will never do. Also, he swears/curses a lot.
Powers, Skills, and Abilities:
Power: Alchemy - the Fullmetal Alchemist, as he is referred at work is the youngest alchemist in Amestris' history who had the skills to join the military. Most alchemists need transmutation circles to transmute anything. Ed is one of the few alchemist who have seen the Gate of Truth, so he doesn't need it. He merely claps his hands together and does everything else in his mind creating the energy he needs for his actions. Actions may include anything from creating doors to raising giant stone hands from the ground or making his own way across a river or raising a house back from ashes. Minor actions include stuff like creating weapons, playing with the constitution of things (such as destroying Greed's ultimate shield and using someone's own spit attack against themselves), creating a blade onto his automail, fixing broken objects etc. He also makes awful looking skulls everywhere because that's cool and badass. He can change the looks of cars and other things. Let's just say that the amount of his skills is amazing, especially because of his brains and him being very adaptable to new situations. + FMA wiki's explanation on this, it's a lot better, promise~
"Weapons:" Automails: - Not used as weapons, ffff! Ed's right arm and about half of his left leg are automotive prostheses, automails, thanks to the day when they tried to bring their mother back. Currently they're in great shape and made of material that contains a lot of carbon. The material is great for cold-climate and his automails are much lighter than his previous automails were, so he's pretty damn fast with them. ...He's also their worst nightmare because he always ends up in fights where he breaks his arm into pieces. Better stay away from those fights because Winry's not here (.. Ed can keep his automails again, right?)
Ability/Skill/Something: Genius/Prodigy - he's like a walking and talking library of science, and he is a scientist (all alchemist are...), though his knowledge isn't limited to that. This comes with great memory. He doesn't remember everything he reads, but he does remember a lot and he takes notes. Ed hates being ignorant. For example: He got Al's soul into the armor thanks to his genius and alchemy skills (most alchemist couldn't do that), he solved Doctor Marcoh's notes with Al and doc knew he could do it, he fools people by playing an ignorant fool to some of them. And then when they notice the truth, it's too late for them. Though he hates being called a genius, after all a genius would have done something else to Al, his reputation as a prodigy is probably known everywhere around Amestris.
Skills: Fighting with martial arts: - Ed's been trained in sparring for most of his life. Though he's not as good as Al, the brothers are used to fight with this style (or similar to this style) too. Usually this is combined with alchemy which makes them even worse opponents and you never know what to expect next.

You know what? Fuck the usual first questions: where am I, how do I get out, what happened to my powers and all that bullshit. I've been here before, I didn't want to come back to this damn place, but Hell, looks I'm here again.
[Oh, right - is he supposed to tell something about himself to those who don't know him?] Name's Edward Elric, just go with Ed if you feel like it, and ... [What else? He's pointing at his automail.] and this is an automail, artificial limb from the world where I came from, runs with body's own electricity and can be moved at will. My mechanic would explain it a lot better, but she's not here.
[Looks like someone's in a bad mood and too damn tired or bored to do anything about it.
He did yell at the doctor though, but she was probably gone before he started yelling... Whatever.]

Well this was weird. The smell of the forest was gone and Ed definitely hadn't been sleeping tonight. Did someone attack him just after he put his jacket on? It sounded stupid, none of the people in his company would have attacked him and no one had been there. And why did this place smell like a hospital? The Fullmetal alchemist opened his golden eyes slowly and a voice from the door welcomed him to Aliunde. Oh. Ed looked bored at first. Never mind it was this place ag---Wait. What?! No way. He jumped up to sit on the bed. That bored look was gone from his face, now he was shocked. He couldn't be here again. He didn't have time for this shit today, or any other day for that matter, when he was supposed to be fighting in a war against the homunculi. He couldn't leave his friends alone in there, and what about his brother being stuck with a homunculus? What about the whole Amestris?!
He was all riled up now.
"WHAT THE HELL, BITCH?! GET ME BACK TO MY OWN WORLD RIGHT NOW! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS SHIT!"
Edward slapped his hands together and, ignoring the fact that he couldn't feel anything he was supposed to feel, tried using alchemy for just about anything. Anything that would stop the doctor from walking away. It didn't work. He tried again. He tried at least ten times more. Nothing. Nothing.
"AND WHY THE FUCK ISN'T MY ALCHEMY WORKING?! I WAS HERE FOR YOUR DAMN TWO MONTHS TEST -WHATEVER YOU CALL IT - AND MUCH MORE BEFORE!" Was must have been the keyword there. Maybe the doctor didn't like people who escaped from her place somehow. Except Ed hadn't escaped. Fuck if he knew how to escape, he wouldn't have been stuck here for two months. He had just disappeared and went back home somehow. This just couldn't be happening to him again.
No reply from the doc. No surprise there. Ed fell back to the bed and just stared at the ceiling for a while. So what now? He couldn't go back home -- unless they had found a way out, but that was very unlikely. He had tried to find a way out too. There just wasn't any... Fuck. Ed sighed and glanced at the familiar package from the doctor. Tch. He probably remembered how to use the device and other stuff they had here. Winry, Colonel and Lieutenant were probably all gone from this place by now. Unless, of course, he had been away from this place for a minute when he had been back in Amestris for months, then Mustang and Hawkeye could still be here - or they could have been stuck here all the time. Or they might have come back too...
Well, first things first. He wasn't going to just stay inside the hospital and do nothing. Might as well do anything else but staying still. Ed hated staying still. It was boring.
Ed got up to his feet and changed his clothes. At least they were in normal condition this time! Last time he was here, he had been implied by the steel bar at Baschool just before waking up in this hospital. He stared at the key to his apartment. Last time he had moved in with Winry, because Winry had insisted it. ...What the hell was he even going to eat when she wasn't there? Pffft, he'd find something. Damn, he'd need a job too, eating for two people with huge appetite was going to be expensive when the military didn't pay for everything here.
The boy stared at the device for a moment. No, he'd do something with it later. He was still as enraged, sure, he hadn't calmed down at all. First he might as well go to his apartment and see if he was able to sleep some more. Yeah, he actually agreed with that plan.
