☆★ for once, something real.

For the first time in a long time, I went out with my parents. It’s been months, I think, and if I hadn’t been so lethargic because of the doctor’s appointment maybe I would’ve been better. And maybe that’s an excuse for myself, sigh. Next time!! Gosh, today.

For some reason we ended up here after the doctor’s, I guess it was for lunch though…I was supposed to go to Kinokuniya at one point but that plan never fell through. Why? I found another bookstore there instead! 8Da

Had this for lunch. Can’t say much about it, but I like eating the same thing in different places to compare ‘em. The one nearer to my home is much better. …I totally did not like the chicken just because it tasted like KFC, okay. Okay. Q____Q

The books I bought were pretty interesting! I got three of them in total…For One More Day (as you see above), Birds of America (which I totally didn’t buy because the title was cool) and 1000 Years of Annoying the French by this guy who seems to love writing books about France!?

This is Birds of America, and this is 1000 Years of Annoying the French (I like the cover).

For One More Day
Is heartbreaking. I just finished reading it, all of it. It’s not even 200 pages (it’s 197) and I cried through a good part of the latter half. I’ve been eyeing Mitch Albom for quite some time because his book covers and summaries intrigued me - simple, clean, and effective; they strike something in my heart. Maybe it’s the supernatural elements present at times, maybe it’s the lack of flashy Photoshop on his covers, maybe it’s his steadfast belief that love never dies, not even in death. Whatever it is, it’s good. I love the concepts of his books - all of them. Above all, there is something wistful, something nostalgic about For One More Day.

It’s a simple story about a man who wants to die. A mother’s love. And one day, just one more day with someone you think you’ve lost.

“When someone is in your heart, they’re never truly gone. They can come back to you, even at unlikely times.”

This book, I can't describe it. It's beautiful.

Totally gonna try to find a way to get my hands on the rest of his books now, I’ve been wondering if I should read The Five People You Meet In Heaven for AGES, and this just convinced me.

And these are the books I haven’t touched yet…there’s one all the way at the bottom being squashed. It’s title is ’Valhalla’. …I have a lot of unread books to do with some form of God!? The ones in the background are done though, that DaVinci Code stack. NOW WHICH ONE SHOULD I START WITH…

Holy crap, this entry was long, I’ve not written one like this in ages.

pimping & recommendations, i'm such a stupid sap, this is srs bsns ok, pictures of anything other than me
