So I get an email from SJSU yesterday tellling me that my tuition is due that day. Since they did this last quarter, I got a Capital one credit card to pay for it, since they do not take debit cards, b of a, wells fargo, or Visa. When I used said card earlier in the month, it didn't process. As I pay off in full, I thought no bills meant I didn't owe them money. It had gotten shut off for non payment, since I hadn't recieved a paper bill since April, had tried to pay online and was reassuraed I would be sent paper copies. I spent an hour on the phone then and paid by phone and was told that I would be sent bills and that my card was working. Yesterday when I went to use my card, I found that the payment I had made had not gone through, so the card was again not working, leaving me with no way to pay my tutition on time. I spent almost 4 hours on the phone with Capital One and got them to remove the latest late fee and give me $50 of good will credit, but they would not get the card working by midnight. I emailed San Jose and they are letting me pay by the month, which gives me a month to figure out where to get $500 insteed of 8 hours to find $2500. Things seem to be working out now, it shows that I have payed San Jose and the Capital One card is working, but neither amount has been debited from my bank account. Anyways, I think it will work out.
