Amazon.com has just gotten on my bad list.

I just got an email notification from Amazon.com that my math textbook (for the semester that is currently in progress) had not yet been shipped, and wouldn't be for at least another 5 days, then it wouldn't arrive for at least another 2-3 weeks. So logically, I was annoyed, since I've been having to do anything and everything that has to do with the book for my class in the campus math lab, since I can't take the books out of the room. So, I just decided to cancel the order since getting this math book halfway through the semester is NOT going to help me at all, not to mention not even being able to sell the blasted book back.

So guess what Amazon.com said to me:

Me: *mumble, mutter, curse* Where's the cancel order link...?
Amazon.com website: Your order cannot be sent at this time. (link)Need to cancel something?(/link)
Me: *clicks link*
Amazon.com website: We're sorry, but your order cannot be cancelled as it has already been processed.
Me: WHAT?!?!?! IT'S NOT EVEN GOING TO BE SHIPPED FOR ANOTHER WEEK, AND I CAN'T CANCEL IT!!
Amazon.com website: To cancel an item, please contact the seller directly.
Me: YOU ARE THE SELLER!!!
Amazon.com website: Order information, other stuff... etc (link)Need to return something(/link)
Me: *burning with rage* The only option they give me is to return it?!?! AARRGGHHH!!!! *immolates Amazon.com*

I finally managed to get someone on the phone after poking around some and beating the website into submission. I explained the situation that I would most definately not be paying for a book that would only be useful to me for half of a semester. And he tried to cancel it. Couldn't guarentee me that he had, though. He said if worst comes to worst, I can just refuse the item at the door and they would give me a full refund. That's assuming the guy who delivers it gets here while I'm here, and doesn't just leave it on the door.

EDIT: Thank goodness for the calming effects of chocolate milk.
