(no subject)
So much for leaving the bad weather in Washington when I left....
It's been raining for two days straight and coldish here all but one day since I got home. It's kinda crazy, I always forget that the valley really isn't all that warm and fabulous at Christmas sometimes, but I think this is probably the yuckiest weather we've had for a long time. Last night = crazy!!! My mom came into my room at 1:30 and woke me up to see what the storm had done... the bridge that formerly crossed the creek between my house and the neighbors' was completely torn off it's supports and is now planted a few feet down the creek half way up the hill in our backyard parallel to the water... hmmm, not totally sure how that happened, but crazy none the less. and then there was the water that was almost completely covering the pipe it's supposed to go through (4' plus diameter... that's a lot of water for a couple hours of rain! At least for SY). But yeah, random crazy stuff like screens being blown off windows, retaining walls breaking through to allow mudslides all down the hill... some of the neighbors no longer have fences.......... fun stuff...or not
