one day back in 2005, dee told me sth that made me see myself in a different light. she said, and in a nice offhand way, not mean or bitchy, that i always get what i want, somehow. it was when i got back into RJC, after i was posted to TJC when the first three months were over. i don't think she meant that i always get what i want in a materialistic way though, it was more of a comment about how lucky i am.
and i am!
since i last posted, i have managed to get a brand new digicam (samsung L201, with the specs i wanted - 10MP, 2.7" LCD screen, extra battery and memory card, free tripod stand and USB card reader). my mum and i are splitting the cost half-half, which works for both of us, so i can't always demand first dibs on it and it's easier on my wallet. i also got a huge roomy navy blue bag from Mango at the christmas sale with jean, and my winter clothes are more or less set, though i could always use a few more long sleeved shirts. nora's gotten me this pretty and colourful laptop bag from paperchase, and she's gonna lend me a pair of her leather gloves, which is all so sweet of her! and somehow... i have scraped enough to order a DBSK desk calendar :D
plus, i got my exchange scholarship too!
i have spent quite a bit this month, though, and i actually feel VERY bad. so bad i think my heart is breaking... and so... i am not going out anymore for the rest of this month. in january, the only major buys i'll make are a pair of sneakers/oxfords/boots, a mini-bolster from ikea and a webcam for my mum & bri. i'm counting on my purchases to be less than $200.
friends, if you have any winter clothes that you might be able to lend me, i would also appreciate it very much! then i can cut down on buying clothes for winter (as i've grown about 2 cm taller in the past 2-4 years, i have also managed to have outgrown quite a few of my winter clothes :X). also, if you want, or know anyone who would like to buy TWO tickets (highest price range) for the Bangkok SMtown Live concert on Feb 7 2009, please contact me!!!!!
