i knew krist, cand and just wouldn't let me down. HAHA. at midnight, i was waiting for them to appear at my doorstep and i was so puzzled when they didn't because i sensed that sth was up since 3 days before my birthday, and finally i gave up waiting at like 1215am, after receiving calls from krist and cand saying happy birthday, and cand acting and everything, saying she was at her 24h training thing again, and then when i was lying down watching tv in my mum's room, these crazy ppl jumped out of nowhere and said happy birthday at like 1230am i was like !!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA. omg DO U KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU GUYS ;_; i love how you try so hard to surprise me all the time ♥ i dunno what i did to deserve bffs like you, but i'm grateful for everything we have.
and then soooo many birthday wishes.. i honestly didn't think so many ppl would rmb. the nerks, nora steph and the rest of the fangirl circle, soooo many ex-rj friends, jas, college mates etc etc. it was a sad beginning, but in the end i was really touched. if you guys want a good laugh, u should check out reveriedouche, charm's blog. she posted up REALLY GROSS pictures of herself and i from sec 1 to sec 4 ;_; u can go see how gross i was (and when i say gross, let me tell u, it's not an understatement. u might not even recognise me HAHAHAHA). i didn't know whether to be touched or angry... HAHAHAHA. and then mich called from the USA! @__________@ i was sooooo amazed. and then anita's back in singapore?!!?! i love you guys soooo much ♥ and u know i don't use the L word that often!
and then i went out with 2 of my cousins, shopping for a new mp3 player. because the last present my pa ever bought for me, my faithful creative zen neeon, which has lasted me for 3 years, has been shutting down on its own alot lately, and i'm prepared for the worst. i don't actually wanna wait until it totally gives way cos of the sentimental value. so i bought a 120gb ipod classic! and let me tell you how anti-ipod, pro-creative i am hahahaha.
but price-wise, memory size-wise... u see, i wanted a player that can play videos too :D so ALL the shops in funan IT mall only had the zen and the zen x-fi. and i didn't want zen x-fi cos i don't need wireless, and basically u pay ALOT just cos it has wireless. then the zen's largest size is 16gb and costs $279... while the ipod classic comes in 120gb, costs $385 together with the casing, screen protector, and charger! plus the ipod's LCD screen is so much sharper. of course, it took me like 6 hours to visit every single shop on the mall, asking abt price etc, and i actually decided if they had a 30/80gb ipod i might just get that, but those were no longer selling. and seriously, if u do some calculations, u'll realise that for the zen, 1gb costs like $17 and for the ipod, 1gb costs $3. but i was still really uhhhh abt the whole thing, cos i don't need so much memory, but my cousins were like why not, u should go for it, and anyways u hear more horror stories abt creative than ipod, which technically is kinda true. and i've heard that the zen isn't that great, that the zen vision w/m is better (i did my research), but it wasn't selling anywhere. SO THERE! I GOT AN IPOD. i am extremely annoyed with it at the moment though, cos i really hate learning new tech stuff. like when i switched from nokia to samsung hp. *rolls eyes*
we also had this amazing japanese lunch. i officially LOVE puffer fish now, as well as century egg tofu, and swordfish sashimi, and pollock roe tea soup porridge, and fish handmade noodles ♥ it was really expensive and my heart sorta like, broke, when i saw the bill, but my cousins are amazing ppl and i am very happy for them that they earn a very comfortable living. HAHA.
