Dancing with old scratch soul
The past few days of vacation in my home town have been fantastic. I've a friend over from Kuwait and we've been playing tourist in Cape Town. I've done absolutely no constructive work for almost a week but it's been so important to just chill out, drive around the Cape Peninsula, eat good food and chill out. J and I have known each other for a few years now and it's been an awesome experience to just hang out with him and to show him all the places that make the Mother City such an awesome place to visit.
From Thursday onward I'll be "with it" again, back in the saddle and ready to work at the backlog of writing and editing that is busy piling up.
Not so good news is that a close friend of many of my friends, whom I've always heard much about but have never had the time to spend much time talking to has passed away. RIP Kirsty Cordell. Your friends are hurting and missing you. It was so sudden.
