one bum's "fat ass" is another bum's "gorgeous curves"

i was walking penny around downtown berkeley this morning, on the same street where a homeless woman recently called me a fat ass, and a man (maybe homeless?) said, "hello, gorgeous."  i assumed he was talking to penny.  since i instantly love anyone who is nice to penny, i smiled at him.  then he said, "i like your curves."  
oh.  hmm.
"thanks...?"
"you're welcome.  you have a lovely day."
the best part is, he wasn't really skeevy.  just tacting.
