Tumblr has kindly reminded me that this was called La Femme Nikita in the US.
I think this may have been the first French film I watched after learning to speak French. It improved my slang vocabulary enormously.
I'm hard-pressed to explain why I like this film so much, although a look back at the last couple of days shows me one other film about an assassin, and another film about women warriors, so maybe those are clues.
