So, last night's Eureka...
Ugh, could the Jack/Allison sub-plot have been any more ridiculous or predictable? Also? *YAWN*
And Wallace Shawn as a relationship auditor? Inconceivable!*
The Henry/Grace stuff left me kind of cold too. I think they would be more interesting to me as a couple if we'd actually got to see their problems getting to know each other, instead of one week - problems; next week - problems magically fixed by magic mind-meldy-memory-machine.
Fargo continues to be awesome and made of win. And this is a character I pretty much loathed right up until he had to pee on the Magnesium.
And so, Jo and Zane. Oh, those crazy kids with their passive-aggressive not talking about stuff. I HATE THAT. Okay, I'm not really one to vocalise my feelings either, but seriously, just talk to each other already.
Not that I'm averse to their shagging at every available opportunity. I'm not saying they should stop that. That'd be crazy talk.
I just re-read all of that, and it seems like I didn't like the episode, which is weird, because I did like the episode. I've watched it three times already, it's just ... the rest of this season has been so much better, I think it's raised my expectations too high.
I'm still irrationally angry about the cancellation; not so much the fact of it (if the cast and crew are to be believed, S5 will be even better than S4, so it'll be going out on a high note), as the way it was done. Having the cast and crew find out via the press and Twitter? Classsssssy. That's like dumping someone by text message. Except they essentially put dozens of people out of work with (at that point) less than two weeks' notice, and didn't bother to tell them in person. Asshats.
* Sorry, I had to. It's actually the law.
