i don't have a tv here at home, but when i visited my parents over last weekend, i was able to take in some olympic swimming. after seeing a few races, i thought this picture would be a good summary of the US performances:
seriously, michael phelps is horrifying. there was an awfully third-reichy segment in which the tagline was, "if you were to build the perfect swimmer, he would look just like michael phelps." they talked about his "dinner-plate-sized hands grabbing the water," and the way his "short legs and powerful thighs provided the perfect kick at the turn." bob costas, your eerily formal tone doesn't disguise the wildness in your eyes. if i were to name their shade, it would be "eugenicerulean."
