[2] And yes, Renji is wearing SpongeBob's karate gear; only the headgear is not square shaped.
[3] Zabimaru is the name of Renji's Zanpaku-to.
[4] Please note that Ichigo is wearing a purple, strapless bikini top and a ruffled purple skirt, just like Sandy wears. It had to be done.
[5] Zanpaku-to=Soul slayer or soul blade. Soul Reapers all have one. It's a sword.

[8] I'm just having fun. SpongeBob is just so serious about The Mechanism. I had to make fun of it.
[9] Yes, the machine makes a quacking noise. It's a common sound effect on SpongeBob SquarePants.
[10] I skipped the part with Mr. Krabs' letter because Kisuke doesn't live in Soul Society and I wanted to use…The Mechanism.
[11] It's Yachiru Kusajishi! If you don't know her, too bad.
[12] Yachiru has a horrible sense of direction. Unfortunately, so does her captain, Kenpachi (aka: Kenny).
[13] Spittoons are traditionally used to spit chewing tobacco into. Some people I know use garbage cans to spit into (I won't mention names). Someone who has TB could use a spittoon, although it would be disgusting and unsanitary.
[14] TB=tuberculosis. It's a typically fatal disease where one of the symptoms is coughing up blood. Thirteenth Division Captain Jūshirō Ukitake suffered from tuberculosis.
[15] Sereitei=Court of Pure Souls. It's where Soul Reapers (at least, the captains, vice captains, and noblemen) live.
[16] Because everything Byakuya Kuchiki does is done nobly.
[17] Rukia and Renji were in a street gang when they were children.
[18] Shunpo=flash step; a shinigami technique where the shinigami moves so fast that you can't see them. It's faster mere "bolting."
[19] In the SpongeBob episode, it is Mr. Krabs and Plankton singing together. They are business and personal rivals. I chose Kisuke and Soi Fong because (and this is based on the fandoms) a) Kisuke was already Krabs in this story and b) some fans of Bleach think that Kisuke likes Yoruichi, the same woman who Soi Fong likes. If that is true, then they are rivals, fighting for Yoruichi's love.
[20] Remember: Everyone pretends to like the fruitcake, because (and I've never had fruitcake) fruitcake is terrible, thus making it a terrible gift. At the very least, it's a cliché gift. No offense intended to people whom like fruitcake.
[21] No, I do not know why Byakuya has a pair of high heels when no women live with him. Maybe he likes to dress up sometimes, go to karaoke bars, and sing “white trash versions of Shania karaoke,” but he’s not gay?
[22] Toshiro is also not gay. He took the shoes because a) they’re from Santa, b) he’s less than five feet tall, and c) perhaps, he too, likes to feel pretty every once in a while.
[23] The joke here is that she has an outdated map of city she rarely, if at all, ever goes to. At least she would have a sense of direction in Chicago ninety-six years ago!
[24] Because mashed potatoes would not work. I could also see him in the Carmen Miranda hat. If yuou don’t know who she is, look her up. You might find a hat you’d like to purchase.
[25] Gikongai looks just like Pez Candy. Gikongai=soul candy; pills that, when taken, force the soul from the body and provide a substitute soul for the otherwise soulless body.
