Ok, so another thing that has been going on for awhile that is seriously bothering me is the Valeria Plume investigation, particularly Bob Novak's involvement in it. To refresh your memory, Novak outed an active CIA agent who is married to Ambassador Joe Wilson, who exposed the yellow cake uranium screwup by the the Bush folks. Since it is against the law to expose the identity of an active CIA agent, it is very likely that some high level Bush administration staffer or staffers broke the law.
Of course, you don't hear about this on Fox News. And the people who are getting threatened with jail time if they don't reveal their sources are reporters from TIME and the NEW YORK TIMES.
So, Bob Novak gets the ID of a CIA agent working in the middle east, and publishes it. To me, that makes him a traitor, since he knowingly engaged in an unnecessary act that endangers a CIA aganet and all her contacts, along with compromising our national security. Yet all the pundits on the right don't seem upset. Hm. Novak really is a bastard. One thing we need more than anything is on the ground human intelligence in the middle east, and he singlehandedly ruined an entire network - well, singlehandedly witht he help of some Bush cronies.
National security, strong president, my ass. Such a bunch of assholes really.
