Welcome fellow workers

So I found a job. Not a job that has anything to do with my education of course, but at least from monday on, I'll get paid.
I went to a job interview for a phone-support hotline for a big energy firm. Apparently they loved me, so I'll be starting on monday.
I am medium to little excited about this: it's great that I won't have to live off my parents anymore and I rejoice in earning my own money, but it's a dead-end job and I need to tell myself every few minutes that what happened to my roomie won't happen to me. He started working on a phone support hotline a few months ago and apparently has made no plans to return to his studies or finish university. He actually yesterday told me he could imagine doing this his longterm. Ugh!
On the plus side: I GOT MY FIRST RAISE! Hee, before I even signed the contract. I am so awesome :D Apparently other people get paid up to a Euro more per hour than I am, so I asked for a raise, and after many 'oh no, we couldn't possibly' they actually agreed on it and I got almost an Euro more out of it. Which means I got a more than 10% raise even before my first workday. Awesome

In other news: I started watching Firefly again and I am totally in love - again. Also my boyfriend, who I haven't seen all week, is visiting this weekend. I am super-excited.
