First of all: thank you rogueslayer452 for your lovely holiday card. It arrived yesterday!!! Isn't snail mail the best? Always good for surprises!
I had a lovely christmas with my boyfriend and his and my family. It was the first time that he and I spent it together and even though it meant some driving over the holidays, it was totally worth it. I got lovely presents from every one, we ate way too much good stuff and it was great.
I also got to meet some old friends of mine a few days after christmas. It is turning into some sort of tradition to meet up on the 28th or so for dinner and cocktails and I had a great time chatting with people who I haven't seen for a while.
New Years Eve was a smallish thing, we had great food with another couple, lit some fireworks and drank too much. I am always happy to celebrate at home where I can just fall into bed and be done with it. Also: I seriously love my dishwasher, I would have NOT wanted to do all the dishes alone.
