I think there's significant demand for non-Diamond League play out there, if for no other reason than there's very little coverage of games where the players aren't hyperelite. Other than Day 9's Newbie Tuesday and the occasional Bronze League Husky/HD 'cast, there's limited videos for Bronzite-Gold players to watch that actually talk to them at their level, with real, tangible advice that can help them see an immediate improvement. "Pylons and probes" is all well and good, but let's face it -- that's something you're going to learn by rout, not by actually thinking about the game.
Moreover, I think that Day 9 in particular and the others I mentioned to a lesser degree are coming off worse for wear by doing their Newbie events. They make it clear they're going out of their way to do them, and end up sound condescending more often than not. I think a by-newbies-for-newbies 'cast has a much better chance of being non-threatening, if for no other reason than it's not a bit of flavor in a pipe of "Oh God, So Much Better Than You", but something that provides real from-the-ground advice.
I think it might be hard to get word of your 'cast out, but once its known (if only on the Battle.net forums), you'll have a following. I think the trick is to avoid TeamLiquid.Net and the like -- the players you're talking to aren't there. The players you want to talk to are on the Battle.net forums, or on no forums at all.
Also, I really like FourteenHatch. That's pretty clever, if Zerg-centric. The only thing that springs to mind is "Building the Base", but that's both long and implies a SimCity-style play that isn't really what you want, despite the multiple entendre.
Finally, you're right, you need to practice 'casting a bit more in order to fill the dead air, but I think that's just practicing things that will come quickly. Also, discussing why things are suboptimal, like lazy SCV's and having thousands of minerals in the bank, can easily fill the turtle-and-build time you're likely to come across in this level of play.
As long as you're starting to mention it, I'll stick the light version of my Day[9] is wrong, pylons-and-probes is a load of crap rant here:
If you are in the Bronze League, and your goal is to rise up through to Diamond, then Pylons and Probes is the answer - because in the end, 40 mutalisks at the 8 minute mark beats 3 thors at the 8 minute mark. However, if your goal is to have good games against other people who are bad at macro just like you, then the crazy strategies, micro, and 'counter' focused play that you see on the 'pro' level commentaries are both FUN and EFFECTIVE.
