Newt Gingrich commentary on WalmartI heard this on the radio, and wanted to pass it along. I'm anti-Walmart in general, not because of its squashing of local businesses, but because of the fact that it's always packed full of assholes. Too many people. an easy counter point: Employees hired by Walmart should be prohibited from voting on the grounds that working there clearly saps both their intellegence and their will to live.

;)

Still, I think most people are rightly suspicious of companies "suggesting" how people should vote, and having them provide voter registration to increase the number of employees who vote.

I am also dubious of claims that Walmart saves anyone money... Walmart is known for dumping expenses to the County and State which normaly are retained by a company, such as healthcare, food stamps to feed their employees etc.
