Damn it, I'm in a union...
...and no less than the UAW. Explain to me how I qualify as a " International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America" worker. Explain to me why this can happen without my consent, despite the fact that no mention was made of this on my offer letter. I absolutely hate unions. If I have to pay dues....I haven't figured that part yet. This seems like such a scam. These guys come on campus and decide that they want to unionize us. They get some number of signatures (never asked for mine) and now they represent me? I have a PhD. Why do I need a union to represent me? Why do I need the UAW to represent me? I'm in the same union as autoworkers? WTF?
