So after I got home from work today it was all dreary and bleh so once I caught up on internet things I decided to read. It has been so long since I just sat down and did nothing but read. Not reading while waiting in line, not reading for five minutes at a time between classes, but actually reading. And I decided the best way to do this was to close my computer, move to my favorite chair, grab a blanket, & sip some hot chocolate while reading. And it was brilliant. I'd say the only thing to make it better would be to have a fire going at the same time, but that just distracts me.
Also, my little brother is still sick so when I made hot chocolate, I made some for him too, giving him a hug first. I looked out the window & saw my other brother coming home. I still had some water left in the pot, so I decided to treat Joe to the "hug & mug" service too, haha.
It made for a very comfy afternoon. So comfy that I started nodding off during my book, which is the point where I started watching Castle (season 2 opener, I'm behind, I know) and got really comfy again. So comfy that when Mike IM'd me at a really dramatic point in the show, it scared me :P
I think being comfy like that should happen at least once a week. I so rarely get to sit down and relax at all, so this was really nice. I can't wait for next Friday, which is "reading day," a day off of school to "catch up on reading for classes." Meaning, I am going to sleep in & make the most of my time before work. Also this weekend which is my yearly trip to Michigan for apple picking. Our group this year is like 45 people or more. It's insane, we have more people every year. Sure, my family is 11, but still. It's a lot. AND I AM GONNA MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH. I will have my phone (and YAY for Toni getting a phone again!) and I am going to bring my laptop, but I don't know if I'll have internet or not. Last year I only had my iPod, not my computer, so I don't really remember.
ANYWAY. I told Toni I would talk about Spider-Man (she won the prize for being least fun & not playing along with my texting game), so here goes. Spider-Man is better than Superman because he is not perfect. Superman's perfection gets really annoying. Oh look at me I'm hurt by kryptonite! Oh wait, I'm so much better than that, watch me win EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And with Spidey? Two words for you, my friends: Gwen. Stacy. *sad* Also, he really doesn't have that big of a conscience. He thinks only in black & white, where as Spidey thinks in shades of gray. He thinks about all the angles & figures out the motives/stories. He's actually a good guy. And he's realistic. And funny. That's my short spiel on why Spider-Man is better than Superman.
Comment Questions!
1. How do you relax? (if that were to happen)
2. Does your family ever take trips like mine does? (note: Michigan is our only trip)
3. How awesome is it that Toni has her phone back? (we have a tag for phones? really?)
4. What show(s) are you currently trying to keep up with? Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, & Glee.
