Your meaning of life will change as you age, you will define 'success' by different things, what you define as 'worthy' will warp from year to year.
Bear in mind that most people who think they have something to prove conveniently edit out all the shit in their lives to present a nice picture of a busy, exciting, demanding life which they are just so terribly involved and vital they don't have time for anything real like arguments, family problems, down times, shitty day jobs, boring menial tasks their jobs require them to do etc....
One thing I have learned from my many years on livejournal is to not add people who are too concerned with telling the world how fabulous their life is; I'd rather read about people keeping an honest and open account of life in general, not how many steps up the ladder they are taking/how many arses they managed to kiss that day. Realistically these people are insecure and need to belittle, brag and boast about their 'acheivements' just to reassure themselves they're 'something'.
I'm sure Buddah would have something interesting to say about it. I don't, other than don't put pressure on yourself or believe that people are always what they say they are. The amount of bullshit that exists in the media proffessions is depressing. x
Thanks for that :) Just to point out that the people I was referring to I know fine well are better than me in loads of ways, not because of their livejournals though I think I see what you're on about there. I was referring to Paulo, who is a great artist and doesn't seem to big himself up, even Lauren is an insane artist. I have generally allround nice people who I know well (so know about the shit parts) and stuff. But I do get what you're saying.
