I'm lucky I go to Tech and most of the student body (that is, non-management majors) are over-achievers.

tell the teacher that you have a disease that prevents you from working with people. its infectious. therefore you worry about forever contaminating the rest of the classes chances of ever working well together in a group ever... or at least until a cure is developed. i also think converting to the church of dan marino would help to. there is much wisdom in dans throwing ability and strategic tackling maneuvers. hark and take note.
or if all that fails talk to him after class and explain to him that you have no time for such nonsense, and attempt to appeal to his sympathetic side by explaining how you have tests coming up and your working alot (to feed all your bastard children you hobag). make something up. go get'm tiger.
