hi livejournal. new semester here. i'm kicking it's ass, going to the library bunches, all that nice stuff.
there's a rubik's cube competition on march 31st at cornell that i'd love to go to, but i just found out/was reminded that that weekend it sibling's weekend, as well. i definitely have to figure out a way to get there.
i'm going to hawaii in a month-ish. march 10th. that's going to be a lot of fun.
it snowed a whole lot on wednesday. we got a snow day out of the deal! apparently, that's the first time that has happened at geneseo in fourteen years. i played snow football which was a lot of fun.
juggling is going well, four ball mills mess is starting to look like four ball mills mess. also, getting more solid with clubs, eg chops, half showers, doubles, showers, plus more fun with passing. i have to learn all this so i can pass it on to people next year like duncan has done for me.
i started learning how to do 2x2's blindfolded the other week, but right now i only know how to orient all the pieces. i know two of three moves to do the permutations, so hopefully i can get my ass in gear for that.
today, mike, kelly, and i are going to listen to dopesmoker by sleep. FINALLY! i can't wait. also, maybe next year feldman and i will do a stoner rock radio show, because that would be sick.
the other week i installed a program on my computer that is searching for large mersenne prime numbers. it is currently 46.07% complete with the factors of the number 2^18947927 - 1, which is somewhere around 6 million digits, i believe. once this is done, i will start factoring a 10 million digit number in the hopes of winning a nasty ass cash prize.
i've stopped memorizing digits of pi. well, i stopped doing it a while ago. i can usually do up through 200, but after that, it gets shaky. at least now i can say with certainty that i have indeed forgotten more digits of pi than most people will ever know.
time for geometry. bye.
