Sometimes when I'm listening to music, I need to turn the volume up. Doing so on the Mac causes a little "pop" sound effect, and inevitably I like what that sound effect adds to whatever song I'm listening to. This often causes me to inadvertently turn the music up too loud, because I was jammin' to the pop sound effect.
