I was poking around weheartit which is worse for me than Tumblr. *shrugs.* And I've come to the conclusion that I know what my third tattoo is going to be. It's going to be band related, and I'm getting into on my 28th birthday. (oh god, next year.) Not sure where I'm putting it quite yet, and it's not a unique tattoo, Hundreds of people probably have it. Hell, I think all of the band members do. A simple, black text foREVer. It's something that I've thought about for nearly two years now, and even before The Rev died, I had been considering an Avenged tattoo. I've listened to this band since 2005. That's a long fucking time for me to like something. Six years I've supported this band. I've seen them five times. The next time they come through I'm going again. I just love this band. The last time I saw this band, Uproar a couple of months ago, I think I did damage to my vocal cords. The day after my throat was so swollen it was triggering my gag and swallow reflex at the same time. Which made life interesting.
But I wouldn't change a thing.
Avenged is a band I'll buy the album without listening to it first. There's only two other bands I'll do that for. Atreyu and Everytime I Die. Avenged is different though. Each album is different and unique. I started listening to them about the time "City of Evil" was playing, and I actually hated that album. A coworker at the time slipped me a copy of "Waking the Fallen" and I was in love. City of Evil still isn't my favorite album, but I do like it a lot. There are some really good eight minute songs on there. ;) I think, if I was forced to chose, my favorite album would be the self titled. A very very close second is Nightmare. The thing is, there's a song on each album that I always end up skipping because it becomes tied to some emotional trigger for me. Well...not on Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. I skip one song on there, because it's it's hysterically bad.
I'm not even sure why I'm rambling on and on about this. I just...wanted to?
